Classmates, Class of 1956, O.U.H.S. Reunited in Portland.

Bill-I have attached a picture of Dorothy Hayler Wold and Jan Pinch Haas.  Dorothy and I were best friends at Oxnard.  I left in the middle of my senior year but she graduated.  We had not seen each other for 50 years and just made contact through classmates.com.  I was in Portland for the Square Dance Convention and we met for breakfast.  It was a wonderful reunion.

 Hi Bill,

 This is Sandra Shuck Lynch I noticed my name on the list of missing

Classmates and thought I should tell you that I am alive and well and living

way up in Northern California in Redding.   Still working full time as an

Employment Counselor.  I waited until I was in my 50's to get my Bachelor's

Degree.  I am single now, but have four wonderful children and seven

grandchildren ranging in ages from 21 to 3.  I am very blessed as my whole

family lives in Redding or very close by, so I see them all often.  I came to

the ten year reunion, but somehow lost contact for subsequent reunions.  I

live very close to many wonderful lakes and both Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen.

Wonderful fishing, skiing and backpacking area.  I'll give you my address and

other info, so hopefully, I will be able to attend our 50th reunion.  The

only picture I have to send is one of myself and my grandchildren out in the

woods for a cutting of the Christmas Tree recently.

Hello Sandy,

Well, what a very pleasant surprise.  My bride of almost 43 years and I spent a number of days last fall from Redding up to Mt. Shasta looking for property to buy.  We parked our RV at the KOA at Mr. Shasta because it is the only RV Park up there that stays open the year around.  If only ...   I do remember you well.   It is very nice to hear from you and I hope that you will feel comfortable in corresponding with some of your fellow Classmates.   I am going to post your note to me (If you object, I will take it down) so that other Classmates will know that you are alive and well.  Sandra, we are developing another Web Site and I will send you an invitation to join that one.  There is no charge and it is a very feature-filled Web Site.  Once you get familiar with all that it has to offer, I think that you will like it.   You have a beautiful family and you have every right to be very proud of them.   Please send in more photos as you get then and I will post them.  Our neighbors of 25+ years, Bill and June Dascomb, moved to Redding almost a year ago.  They bought a large semi-custom home on one of your 10-12 golf courses.  Please keep in touch with your surviving Classmates.
